I have worked as an actor, theatre director and teaching artist locally and abroad for the last 20 years. I have taught improvisation at UVM, acting and directing at The Flynn Center for the Performing Arts and have worked as both an actor and a director at Vermont Stage. Currently I run the drama program at BFA St. Albans. I hold an MFA in theatre directing from Middlesex Univerisy in London and a BA in acting from USM. I am a certified K-12 Theatre Arts teacher. I have completed course work through St. Micheals College on Integrating Arts into the curriculum. This is a topic that I am very excited about. I would love to work with teachers in order to help them integrate theatre skills with their core requirements. Our 12 week course culminated in the presentation of integrated units to area educators and administrators. During this course we were also introduced to UDL (Universal Design for Learning) UDL offers tools to help educators ensure that they are presenting and evaluating their material in the most accesible ways possible. I aim to integrate these practices into any new curriculum that I develop. I most enjoy the collaborative nature of arts integration. I am a passionate learner and welcome the challenge and creative process that naturaly occurs when developing curriculum with another eductor.
