Nicole Dagesse is Artistic Director of the immersive, site dance company Murmurations Dance. Combining her training in Modern Dance, Contact Improvisation, and Aerial Dance, Nicole approaches each new work with inquisitive play and rigorous movement research. Nicole earned her BFA in Dance and BS in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her MFA in Site Dance and Somatic Practices at University of Colorado, Boulder. After earning her Masters of Fine Arts, Nicole worked as a dance artist and teacher in North Carolina, where she founded Murmurations Dance and developed the dance department at Longleaf School of the Arts. Nicole is also a yoga teacher specializing in Vinyasa Flow and Pre/Postnatal Yoga where she combines her creative sequencing with her love of poetry and the moving body. Besides teaching dance and yoga, Nicole applies her dance, anatomy, and improvisational training to her Aerial Dance teaching for all ages at World Tree Yoga and Dance.
