Kizomba Connecticut Dance

Kizomba Connecticut is a division of Kizomba Hartford Development Group, the first and only organization of its kind in Connecticut.  We want to make Connecticut the State of Kizomba Dance.

Kizomba Dance is also referred to as "original Tango" and "African Ballroom". This dance originates in Angola, Central West Africa.  We use dance as a Centerpiece for learning more about our world.

Kizomba is a partner dance and involves a lead and follow.  There are specific techniques, fundamentals and musicality that we use to teach the dance.

We provide weekly classes in Hartford (Tues and Sat at 224 Farmington Ave Hartford at 6pm) and New Haven (Fridays at 7:30pm, AHOS, 912 Whalley Ave) CT, as welll as a free public practice session each Monday at the Hartford Union Station Great Hall (6pm at 1 Union Place, Hartford, CT).  Additionally, we hold an annual Festa (The Kizomba Hartford Libberal Arts Festa, June 1-3 in Hartford, CT.

Additional services:  Private lessons for individuals and groups; private party hosting, special events, corporate events, weddings, performances, demonstration dances and more.
