Bud, of The Kind Buds, creates acoustic guitar overdubs for an act he has named "Kind Dubs” and after 125 solo shows, his mastery of his looper is a skill to be heard and seen. Bud records his guitar rhythm live on the looper; he then hits a button which will begin to play the rhythm he recorded. Bud then plays off that rhythm, taking leads and layering sounds. A Kind Bud show will have a mixture of original tunes, Jerry Garcia, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and other funky tunes.
For the holidays, Bud has created a 90 minute “Community Carol Sing A-Long” to bring family and friends together to sing during the holidays. Participants are handed out a Christmas Carol Book, filled with the words to 21 beloved songs so the audience can sing together with Bud.
January of 2018 brought Kind Bud down to Jamaica, being a part of the Island Gigs’ Team . Bud performed as part of the “Ramble on the Island” with Little Feat and Jackson Browne; “Island Exodus” with Warren Haynes, Gov’t Mule with JJ Grey & Mofro; and “Jam in the Sand” with DSO an Hot Tuna.
Kind Bud, a Rex Foundation artist, has been part of Grateful Dead Night at Fenway Park for two consecutive years. Bud was part of Dead & Company's Boston Action Day, performing for Positive Legacy, making a positive impact on a homeless shelter in Boston. Fans may have also experienced Bud at any of the great music festivals he has been a part of: Gathering of the Vibes; Rock N Roll Resort; Bear’s Picnic; Woodstock at Yasgur’s Farm; StrangeCreek; Wormtown, to name a few.
Arty Lavigne, of WDEV Radio Vermont, had this to say about Bud, “Kind Bud, one guitar, one voice creating one community everywhere he goes.”
Before creating The Kind Buds, Bud was also the guitarist in the duo, "Braintree". Braintree performed throughout the Vermont and New Hampshire and produced 5 CDs: Amid the Winter Snow; Wintertidings; Repeat the Sounding Joy; Carefree; Braintree. Over 10,000 copies of Amid the Winter Snow have been sold and the album has been featured on The Point Radio Station for 17 years on Christmas Eve, being played in its entirety.
