Kieran Jordan is a performer, teacher, and choreographer of Irish dance. With more than 25 years of dance experience, Kieran’s unique approach to the dance marries deep-rooted traditions with contemporary innovations. Kieran has a B.A. in English and Irish Studies from Boston College; an M.A. in Contemporary Dance Performance from the University of Limerick, Ireland; and the TCRG certification for teaching Irish dance.
As a choreographer, Kieran incorporates traditional Irish dance technique with other dance forms, including modern dance, sean-nós Irish step dancing, and Cape Breton step dancing. Kieran is available as a solo dancer, or with her group, Kieran Jordan Dancers, for festival and concert performances, as well as private events.
Kieran teaches Irish step dancing, céilí and set dancing, sean-nós dance, and the history of Irish dance. She holds weekly dance classes in Cambridge, Massachusetts and brings her unique workshops to festivals and arts centers worldwide.
