Kevin Fife of Twin Elms Landscape, LLC specializes in the traditional art of dry stack stonewalls, which are made without the use of mortar to hold them together. Fife has extensive experience in restoring historic field stone walls, as well as building new ones in the traditional style. He is also skilled in splitting and laying up granite foundations, walls, steps, and does repointing of mortar foundations. Fife grew up in the township of Canterbury, NH and has taught dry laid stonewall workshops at the Canterbury Shaker Village, Fells Estate in Newbury, NH and Sanborn Mills in Loudon, NH. Kevin represented New Hampshire at the 1999 Smithsonian Folklife Festival and at the expanded recreation held in 2000 in Hopkinton.
Preferred activities and age groups: Demonstrations and hands-on workshops at community locations such as historic societies, fairs, festivals, and museums. Because of the nature of the tradition, presentations and workshops are more practically held outdoors. Interested in working with adults.
