The mission of Historical Piano Concerts, Incorporated is to acquaint musicians, music scholars, students and the general public with the sound of the sorts of grand pianos know to and preferred by the composers of the piano repertoire from Mozart and Haydn through the French Impressionists, by presenting concerts, recordings, seminars, workshops, master classes and tours based on the resources of the Frederick Piano Collection of Historical Grand Pianos in Ashburnham, Massachusetts. The organization presents concerts by outstanding professional pianists, either in solo recital or with other instruments or voice, Spring and Fall at the Ashburnham Community Church. Tours of the Collection and other functions take place at the Historical Piano Study Center located in Ashburnham's former public library building.
