The Fraternidad Folklorica Boliviana is a non profit organization, with a mission of educating the community and our members of the traditions and history of the Bolivians throughout our ethnic dances. Our dances has been influenced by the African, Spanish and Andean cultures. And are originated by legends and rituals from hundreds of years ago. In 1993 we had less than twenty dancers and one dance to offer by 2004 we've reached the number of close to 80 dancers, all ages and different backgrounds. With six different dances we are proud of our accomplishments but yet it is not enough. We still have alot to offer and many other dances that has made the Bolivian folklore very rich and well known. We have performed in many festivals, universities, schools, parades, colleges, and community activities all over New England. Our main festivity for which we prepare every year is in August for the "Bolivian Association Urkupinia". Our costumes are authentic and made in Bolivia. We have many needs that we can hardly meet. Hopefully we can get funds that would help us reach our goals and continue the commitment we have with our youth to make them proud of our heritage and history.
