Faye Dupras

FAYE DUPRAS is an award winning master puppeteer.  Trained in both theater and visual arts, puppetry is the medium that allows her to stretch her artistic wings and explore questions about our collective humanity. In her role as the founding Artistic Director of Cozy Arts, she creates original puppet productions for family audiences, develops educational materials, and collaborates with artists from across Canada and the US.

Faye has been a teaching artist for over twenty years in traditional and non-traditional educational settings. She specializes in arts based curriculum development. In this capacity she has designed and facilitated puppetry programs for numerous institutions from preschools to universities and in classes as far off as Brazil. Faye loves working with people and has a deep commitment to making the art of puppetry accessible to all.

I Spy Butterfly is a touring show for family audiences (2017 - present)
Based on the Romanian folk tale "Vitorka's Tree" By The Willow is a touring show for that has performed nationally and internationally (2004 - 2015)

    Ongoing relationship - I am the primary puppet designer and puppet director for L&B productions, beginning with Icarus in 2013 and most recently working on Beyond (2018)  Jason Slavick directs all of my work. Most recently "Cozy Connect," the reimagining of "Mr. Cuddles is Missing" for a Zoom platform.

    Ongoing Relationship - When Cozy Corner  transitioned to online content, Sarah Nolen came on board as cinematographer.  She has worked on all  online offerings including Imagination Station and Cozy Connect. Currently she is working with me on  a filmed version of Mr. Cuddles is Missing. 

  • October 2021

    Beginning of partnership.  Cozy Arts will offer puppet programming thoroughout the winter and spring of 2022 followed by a Cozy Corner puppet concert in the summer of 2022

STAGE: Minimum of 16 feet wide x 10 feet deep x 10 feet high
SOUND: Sound System or electrical outlet no more than 15 feet off stage to run my touring PA system
LIGHTING: (when available) General wash & Adequate lighting of stage * A list of specials and/or a touring light plot is available upon request
SET-UP: Minimum of 30 min load-in & 2 hours set up time *please provide assistance for the load-in
STRIKE: 1.5 hour to clear the stage and 30 min load out
STAGE MANAGER: We tour with a stage manager who can run sound and call lights
