Dance in the Schools

Dance in the Schools’ (DIS) mission is to bring excellent Dance Teaching Artists into the Cambridge Public Schools to integrate a broad array of dance forms into the academic and arts curricula for all children in Junior-Kindergarten through 5th grade, to expand the children’s learning through kinesthetic, physical modalities, involving them both actively and interactively via dance. Dance in the Schools helps children develop their ability to focus in school, think creatively and cooperatively, innovate, and problem-solve.
