Cheryl Carlson-Perrow

Cheryl combines her love of art and extensive art background to present workshops that are fun and exciting as participants learn new art techniques and experiences. Workshops include Origami in beginning and intermediate levels- Beginning, Spring, Practical, Modular, Fall and Holiday, Bookbinding, Fairy Houses, Nature Journals, Nature Printing, and Hemp Jewelry. These workshops always reflect the concern for going green and repurposing materials that would otherwise be cast aside and are available around us.

Her art is an adventure in the creative process.  She is known as an innovative studio artist exploring new relationships between materials, techniques, and mediums. She blends these relationships creating beautiful one of a kind fine art. Her art has been featured in Cape Cod Magazine and museum exhibition and is represented in private collections internationally.

Cheryl received her B.F.A from UMass Dartmouth in Art Education and has studied with many exceptional artists whose talents and wisdom have shaped her work and her life.

Professional experiences have included commercial art, calligraphic and graphic design studios, teaching classes and workshops in private and public schools, art conservatories and higher education.  During her 22 years as a professional calligrapher, her clients included Disneyland, the Crystal Cathedral, Westin Hotels, The Meridian Hotels, and Bay Banks among many others.  Currently, she is exploring new ideas in her own artwork, teaching workshops, and continuously developing her beautiful one of a kind fine art collections.

To see ideas develop, take shape, and breathe in harmony invites celebration and joy in the creation of art.  Each day brings a new discovery. Cheryl's workshops reflect these thoughts.
