Center for Painted Wall Preservation

Our 501c)3 organization is dedicated to the documentation, preservation and interpretation pf paint-decorated plaster walls - an early 19C folk art genre found primarily on New England but largely under-recognized and under-appreciated by individual and institutional collectors alike.  We seek to continue to provide preservatio/conservation guidance and service to protect decoratively painted plaster walls in-situ, or to play a role in finding a new 'home' for them when orphaned by abandonment, demolition or natural disasters.
