My process of art-making is much like the process of life— the intention is direct but the experience is both emotional and intuitive.
Painting is my vehicle in which to express the world in ways that go beyond written words and spoken ideas. My visual language derives from everyday occurrences, those that comfort, hinder, enlighten or alarm.
I want the viewer to come close and spend time with a painting, to really see what is going on. It's when your nose is just a few inches away from the canvas, that you can see the true character of the painting—its origin, its chapters, its existence.
I earned my B.F.A. from Rosemont College and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. My work has appeared in solo and National group exhibitions and is held in private collections internationally.
