Alissa Faber is an artisan, designer and educator in Burlington, Vermont. She has a BFA from Alfred University and has worked in glass and ceramic studios throughout Maine, New York, Oregon and Vermont. Alissa currently teaches pottery, glass, and sculpture in her community to children, teens and adults of all abilites. Her classes can be found at art education studios, senior centers, community centers as well as schools. Her teaching style is process heavy with exploration of materials being at the center of every artist experience.
Alissa's own sculptural works are formed by hand and designed specifically to communicate with natural forms found on the forest floor. Often nature takes a front seat in her mixed media sculptures made primarily of blown glass. Alissa is enchanted with the process and movement of hot glass.
