Born in Boston, Adriane Brayton attended the Boston Arts Academy and Connecticut College. Her work has been performed at The Boston Center for the Arts, The Outside the Box Festival, The Somerville Theater, Tufts University, The Museum of Science, The Dance Complex, Larz Anderson Park, and Brandeis University. From 2014-2016 Adriane was a guest artist for the Expansive Meanings and Makings in Art Science Project in partnership with the National Science Foundation. Adriane is Co-Artistic Director for Continuum Dance Project which received the 2017 winter Choreographers' Residency program at the Boston Center for the Arts. Adriane is a 2018 recipient of the New England Dance Fund granted by the New England Foundation for the Arts, with support from the Aliad Fund from The Boston Foundation. Adriane is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), and a United States Pilates Association Certified Instructor, and GYROKINESIS Method Instructor.
Continuum Dance Project is a Boston-based collaborative dance ensemble led by co-artistic directors Adriane Brayton and Fernadina Chan. Continuum Dance Project blends music and movement to investigate site-specific spaces. Be it on staircases and wishing wells, or in saunas and hillsides, Continuum Dance Proejct strives to be at the forefront of contemporary dance through its exploration of non-traditional vantage points.
