World Tales & Celtic Music

This award-winning duo, Tim Jennings and Leanne Ponder, are two of the finest interpreters of traditional folk tales working today. Their unique approach to storytelling- a kind of intricate yet transparent narrative counterpoint- is exciting and spellbinding to listen to. With the addition of music, Irish harp and concertina, their programs create an extraordinary, unique and memorable experience. Programs are available for all ages, children to adult as well as general family audiences. Their recording ‘Live From Bennington College’ was awarded the American Library Association Notable Children’s Recording award. For a recording made in front of an adult audience only shows how transcendent storytelling can be and how arresting this duo is. In 2011 the ALA has again honored this duo with their Notable Children's Recording award for their newest CD 'The King and the Thrush'.
