Wendy Frank uses guitar, rhythm instruments, sign language, and creative movement to create a participatory musical performance for children in the classroom or assembly setting. She uses "singing" books and materials that relate to the curriculum. Themes range from seasons and care for the earth and it's animals, to acceptance and appreciation of our differences, songs from different cultures, i.e. Spanish, African, Celtic, Native American, and improvisational songs written by the children with Wendy's guidance. Literacy is strongly encouraged through poems as songs, books that are sung, and visual aids with pictures and words included.
