The Vermont Renaissance Festival is a historical event that recreates an English Village in the year 1580 during the celebration of a visit from Queen Elizabeth and her court. It is an entertaining & educational environment and is highly suitable for families with small children. This annual event features street theatre, merchants, artisans, music performances, and demonstrations of crafts of the Renaissance world. It has enjoyed a growing attendance over it's 4 seasons and it is or projection that 2005 patronage will exceed 11,000 visitor over four weekends.
The festival is operated primarily by local participants as well as by others throughout New England. We aspire to develop permenant facilities in Vernon, VT and have obtained a parcel of land so that we may proceed at such a time as attendance will support such improvements.
We are quite amenable to cooperative contact with other organizations. Please feel free to get in touch if there is a project upon which we might collaborate.
