teXtmoVes is a intergenerational collaborative of poets/dancers/musicians who work in the indisciplinary intersection between spoken word and movement, poetry and dance, experimentally exploring their boundaries and connections. We work with poems by local poets choreographed and danced by local dancers. Our goal is to continue to bring more members into the collaborative, to increase our diversity, and to bring performance ready works to a diverse audience from teen-agers to elders, We are a repertory collaborative so while the poets and their poems remain in our repertoire, they may be choreographed and danced differently in successive years. While our collaborators may change over time as members move out of the local area, we have a steady group.
