Suzi Ballenger

Weaving cloth is magic! Suzi Ballenger inspires a sense of wonder and excitement of the handweaving process through individually designed programs for adults and children. Programs for hands on exploration include: Community weaving projects, computer aided technology; contemporary applications, equipment and fiber, e-textiles, fashion, materials and method, pattern and structure; professional development; and curriculum consultation. The merging fields of woven textile arts, innovation and sustainability allow students and innovative thinkers to push these traditional technologies boundaries far into the future! As a veteran teaching artist, school programs are suitable for ages 10+ that connect to Core Competencies and RI GSE’s.
