Sherwin Art Glass

I've been working professionally in glass for over 25 years. After working for two internationally recognized glass studios, I returned home to Vermont and  started Sherwin Art Glass in 2005. I primarily work in hand-sculpted and blown glass, both functional and for home decor. My design and production pieces are most often inspired by the beauty found in Nature, but also take inspiration from my experiences working at Simom Pearce (Windsor, VT) & Orient & Flume Art Glass (Chico, CA)...Most of my work incorporates an on-the-pipe "California style" torchwork technique often described as "painting with glass!" I am now represented by over 30 galleries and museums, and in personal collections worldwide. I am well networked in the arts and crafts community, Participating in state-juried craft shows an open studio tours throughout the year, as well as being a founding member and serving on the boards of the Vermont Glass Guild and Walpole Artisans. I assist coordinating & cohost artist town meetings several times a year. I have an on-site Gallery with many pieces for sale, representing several other artists as well--showcasing their work, and am in the studio demonstrating most days. I am Open by Chance or Appointment.
