Sally Pinkas

Since her acclaimed debut at London’s Wigmore Hall, Israeli-born pianist Sally Pinkas has presented solo recitals in Italy’s Villa Serbelloni (Bellagio) and Villa Aurelia (Rome), Bulgaria’s National Gallery (Sofia), in Israel, France and throughout the USA. Described by Gramophone Magazine as “...an artist who melds lucid textures with subtle expressive detailing, minus hints of bombast or mannerism...”, she has appeared with the Boston Pops and the Aspen Philharmonia, and at the Rockport, Kfar Blum, Pontlevoy and Rocca di Mezzo Summer Festivals.
Ms. Pinkas has collaborated with the Lydian, Biava and Blair String Quartets, the Adaskin String Trio, pianist Evan Hirsch (her husband) and flutist Fenwick Smith. Her extensive discography includes works by Fauré, Schumann, Debussy, George Rochberg and Daniel Pinkham for the Musica Omnia, MSR, Centaur, and Naxos labels. Sally Pinkas is Pianist-in-residence of the Hopkins Center at Dartmouth College (NH).
