Formed in early 2012, the Reciprocity Collaborative is committed to bringing together performing artists to research and create work that can be shared through performance, education, and community outreach.
From musicians and dancers to choreographers, composers, and computer scientists, the Reciprocity Collaborative seeks ways to promote interdisciplinary bridges between sound, movement, and innovative, functional technology.
Our vision is based on the rigorous investigation of the relationship between movement and sound. Some of our projects involve collaborating on the design of technology that can bring about meaningful experiences.
The Reciprocity Collaborative creates through a three-pronged approach, including performance, education, and community outreach. Projects have included creative residencies to generate material that can be performed, as well as events such as curating facilitated concerts, workshops, learning labs, and practice-based research sessions.
