Arnaldo Antonio Perez Jr, born June 12, 1985 grew up in New Britain and Hartford, CT. My father being a DJ, I was raised with music as an integral part of my life. I got into rapping and writing lyrics early on as a teenager in high school. With the prospect of attending UConn, I distanced myself from many of the street elements which infused my earlier writings. Rap still remained a passion of mine and I occasionally dabbled in ciphers and music creation during my time in college.

After an eye-opening study abroad experience, I felt inspired; I then dug up my old rhyme books and began to edit them, removing all vulgarities and aspects of negativity. I assembled a short demo CD which I pitched around to friends, family and acquaintances. The notoriety generated from this project landed me a couple small time gigs, including a performance at UConn’s West Hartford campus.

Pursuing a career in human services, aimed at working with at-risk youth, I incorporated my musical skills into creating a lyrics and poetry program in which I taught students how to write rap songs. I have recently begun working to assist urban youth in returning home from juvenile detention and residential facilities to become productive & self-sufficient.
