Songbook Productions featuring vocalist Paul Agnew provides professional musical entertainment for a wide diversity of audiences. Our repertoire includes programs specifically designed by vocalist Paul Agnew for senior audiences. We call our style "Music for grownups of all ages," in the tradition of Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra. Our song lists tend toward reminiscent music, with the addition of adult contemporary and jazz-oriented favorites. We draw on all the sources of the Great American Songbook: Broadway, jazz, movies, cabaret, big bands and Tin Pan Alley. We spotlight master composers such as Richard Rodgers, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Henry Mancini, and Harold Arlen, and classic lyricists such as Johnny Mercer, Lorenz Hart, Oscar Hammerstein, and Yip Harburg. With piano man John Capavella, Paul also produces and hosts Songbook on Braintree Community Access Media TV. In its 18-year run, over 700 half hour programs have been broadcast. Songbook won first prize in the Alliance for Community Media Northeast Regional Video festival.
