Orquesta Mia

Orquesta Mis Bio

Orquesta Mia was created by Felix E. Perez bass player, Nelson Melvin Feliciano Piano player, and Orlando Lopez timbalero.  The band was created in sept of 2013 where the three members came together to create a cover band that plays classic salsa music. They have a passion for salsa being that they were all born in Puerto Rico.  As time went on, they started to add more players to the band.   With the addition of Edileberto Renta singer, Jose Salgado Singer, Victor "Tabacco" Carrion Bongero, Jose Lopez Congero, and Leslie "lelie" Santiago singer. Adding all these members created a band with great chemistry. They plays songs such as Idilio by Willie Colon, La banda by Hector Lavoe La Fania, all classics. They also added some female tracks such as Costumbre by La India. Orquesta Mia has played at the Boston City Hall Plaza in front of over a thousand people. They have also played at smaller venues such as El Xielo in Chelsea, MA and La Barra in Everett, MA.  The thing that makes this band so special is their passion for the music they play.  Orquesta Mia gets together every weekend to hone their craft. Each week during practice they like to add more covers, and sometimes original pieces to their sets.  Orquesta Mia is trying to add more and more originals to eventually come out with their own album. There is no set date for that, so in the mean time they will continue to play the classics their audience loves.
