He is an exclusive recording artist with Hyperion Records where he has made over 40 recordings, been nominated for 9 Grammy awards, and has received a lifetime achievement prize from the German Record Critic’s Association, and is an Officer of the Order of Canada, a Chevalier de l’Ordre du Québec, and a member of the Royal Society of Canada. He has also recorded a Grammy nominated CD of his own compositions which have been published by Peters Edition.
