MANSFIELD LOCAL CULTURAL COUNCIL

The Local Cultural Council Program (LCC) is a grassroots complement to the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s centralized grant program. Allocations are made to all of Massachusetts' 351 cities and towns to support community cultural activities. LCC Program is the most extensive system of its kind in the nation to support the arts. LCC volunteers review applications from individuals, schools, and organizations to fund concerts, performances, lectures, workshops and community celebrations. LCCs also accept and review applications for a ticket subsidy program, called the Field Trip Program, to fund field trips for groups and after school programs.

Mansfield Local Cultural Council is comprised of area volunteers with an interest in supporting the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences in the Town of Mansfield. Our mission is to promote excellence, access, education and diversity in these areas.

To apply for a Mansfield Local Cultural Council Grant, download and print an application form from www.mass-culture.org/mansfield or pick up a copy from the Mansfield Town Hall Clerk’s Office. Proposals are due by October 15. While the grant work starts in the Fall when the cycle begins and continues through early Winter when the award notices are sent to recipients, there are ways to participate during the rest of the year. Join us at a meeting, become a member, and/or attend the programs and events funded by the Mansfield Local Cultural Council.
