I was trained in dance instruction from Al & Connie Fanton. Al grew up in vaudville; his parents, Joe Fanton were the first vaudvillian acrobatics, traveling to Germany right before the war began. Al married Connie ( an English ballerina who ran away to join the circus) and toured the country with thier act, Taps & Tricks. Many times The Fantons would tour with the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra and were performing at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed. Al & Connie retired to CT to teach and I was very fortunate to have taken dance and theatre from the duo I called my "adopted" grandparents. I consider myself 3rd generation "show biz".
I graduated from Ithaca College with a BA in business and moved to Vermont.
