Joseph Jude Brien

Joseph Jude Brien is a talented artisan with over thirty years of experience designing and creating furniture, cabinets and sculpture. He studied metalworking and woodworking in secondary school, completed a three-year apprenticeship hand-crafting Shaker furniture reproductions and earned a BFA in Industrial Design from the Rhode island School of Design. He founded Made on Earth Studio in 1989, the design/fabrication division, and Lost Art Workshops, the education division, shortly thereafter. Mr. Brien is equally skilled at creating an heirloom-quality piece of furniture for you, or in patiently and expertly teaching you how to build it yourself.

See images of Mr.Brien's personal art work, below. Visit his Creative Ground "Lost Art Workshops" listing for information about educational programs.
