Founded in 1936, the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) is one of the oldest contemporary art institutions in the United States. The mission of the ICA is to share the pleasures of reflection, inspiration, provocation, and imagination that contemporary art offers through public access to art, artists, and the creative process.

I Have Worked With
In conjunction with the exhibition This Will Have Been: Art, Love & Politics in the 1980s, Andrea Fraser presented Men on the Line, KPFK, 1972 at the ICA in January 2013, followed by a post-show conversation with Fraser, artist Gregg Bordowitz, and Helen Molesworth, the ICA’s Barbara Lee Chief Curator.
Zimbabwe-born choreographer Nora Chipaumire has performed twice at the ICA, first in 2009 through World Music/CRASHarts and again in 2013 with an ICA presentation of her work Miriam.
Keyboard master John Medeski performed selections from his first solo piano project, A Different Time, at the ICA in December 2013. (Co-presentation with World Music/CRASHarts). He also performed in 2010 as part of percussionist Bobby Previte’s Terminals.
