Guild of Maine Woodworkers

The Guild of Maine Woodworkers is a non-profit organization which promotes the art of working with wood. From beginners to professionals all are invited to attend meetings where we share our knowledge and skills. Monthly meetings include demonstrations, tool discussions and guest speakers as well as the popular "show and tell" where members show off their woodworking projects. Meetings rotate around members' shops in Central and Southern Maine. If you need help on a project the Guild is the place to be. See our website at

The Guild sponsors the Maine Woodworking Expo 2016 which will be held at the Fort Andross Building, 14 Maine Street in Brunswick on August 27 and 28, 2016. Show hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday.

The expo will showcase exceptional quality furniture and wood accessories made by Maine craftsmen and women, some of the finest in New England. Meet the creators and see their work in 25 display areas.

You'll see a huge variety of items including desks, nightstands, beds, buffet cabinets, caskets, chairs, dressers, lamps, wood turnings, fine art, jewelry boxes, baskets, period reproductions and more. If you don't see what you need, nearly all woodworkers will make furniture to your specifications. Get something unique that will be a timeless heirloom. Invest in the beauty of wood!
