I draw cartoons, teach comics, paint, and work as an archaeological illustrator. I am currently working on a graphic memoir of the years I spent in Greece and the Middle east as illustrator on archaeological projects. I teach courses in making comics at Burlington City Arts and University of Vermont, and have given workshops in schools as well as Champlain College. I'm a member of the curated web-comic site Activatecomix.com and contribute to MuthaMagazine.com.
My background is art history/classics as well as painting: BA (honors) University of Oregon, BFA Pacific NW College of Art, MFA School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston/Tufts University. I held a Fulbright Fellowship to Cyprus in 1999, where I published two books.
