"Classic Quality Puppetry at its Best," The Award Winning Gerwick Puppets are one of New England's longest running puppet troupes. Founded in 1974 by artist/educators Deborah Costine and Len Gerwick, this company performs in schools around New England and regularly at Boston's First Night, the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, The Mark Twain Museum in Hartford CT and The Puppet Showplace Theater in Brookline MA. Programs include: "Pilgrim Adventure to America", "Rip Van Winkle", "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp", "Thornton Burgess New England Animal Stories", "Aesop's Fables", "Midwinter Magic" and "Inside the Haunted House"! Each is performed "live" with elaborate theater lighting and artist-painted scenery and each has some interaction with the audience. Their DVD "The World of The Gerwick Puppets" , shows "behind the scenes", parts of a performance, puppet making methods and how children can create their own puppet shows!

Technical Requirements: 
For a performance, a very clean, clear area approximately 15 by 15 ft. a darkened room is preferred. Recommended audience maximum is 250 to 300 people. ages 5 and up. Set-up time is approximately 90 minutes - strike is approximately 45 minutes.
