FCA is an all-volunteer nonprofit corporation formed in December 2017 to provide cultural and community events for the people of Fairlee and neighboring towns. In fulfilling this mission, FCA works as an independent entity in coordination with the Town of Fairlee and other stakeholders in Fairlee's social and economic development.
In addition to the popular Summer Music Series of free Tuesday evening concerts on the Town Common, started in 2017 and sponsored by local businesses and foundations, FCA began presenting free or low-cost year-round performances, workshops, dances, and presentations in the newly restored Fairlee Town Hall Auditorium in September 2018. FCA has, since its inception, raised funds for a state-of-the-art sound system (installed in the auditorium during the spring of 2019) and a video projection system to be installed in September 2019. We hope to install stage lighting equipment in 2020.
Once the Auditorium is equipped for staged productions and films, FCA's programs will expand to include a film series, lecture/presentation series, and a performing arts series as well as creative workshops and community events.
