Everyday Boston is a 501c3 nonprofit that teaches people of all ages how to connect across the dividing lines of the city by reaching out for each other's stories. The challenge, as we see it, is that Boston is one of the most famously divdied cities in America. The vision is that we become one of the most famously connected. The plan is to use the power of stories to get there.
We teach Bostonians how to interview, so they can listen to the stories of their neighbors and share them on our website (everydayboston.org). We organize events that bring people across the city together to share their life experiences. And we run workshops for people of all ages- in schools, on college campuses, and in workplaces- that broaden their worldview, and strengthen their communication skills, by teaching them how to interview and empathize with others in their city.
