Eve Kerrigan

Eve Kerrigan is an editor and a writer of fiction and personal essays. She is an enthusiast of all things amusing and creative. Eve is a mother to an exuberant toddler and a caretaker of small animals. She is originally from Southern New England and has returned after a long absence. Eve's collection of short stories is called Situational Narcolepsy and she is currently working on her first novel.

Eve's short fiction has been published in L'Allure Des Mots, The Oddville Press, 521 Magazine, and other literary journals. Eve's creative nonfiction has appeared in the Narcissistic Anthropologist and Sociology of Style.

Eve has a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Creative Writing. She co-founded and was a head producer at Los Angeles-based arts collective, The Woodshed Artist's Community for which she also was a writer, principle actor and workshop leader. Eve has worked as an adjunct creative writing teacher at School One, an alternative learning high school in Providence, RI. Currently, she conducts creative writing workshops for tweens and teens, as well as multigenerational storytelling classes as part of programs established by School One, in collaboration with Write RI and Goat Hill Writers. Eve has also worked as a culture journalist, writing consultant, editorial assistant and public speaking and acting coach. Eve has lived in two countries and five states and has traveled extensively throughout the USA, Canada, Eastern and Western Europe and beyond. I Have Worked With

  • January 2018

    Lit Lab – Co-teacher in class for writers grades 7-12. Offering resources helping students explore, create, and rework writing with guided experiments, writing time focused on student interests, and individualized feedback.

     School One - 6 weeks, Tuesdays 3:30-5.  

  • November 2017

    A six week memoir class with Eve Kerrigan.  

    Learning to turn personal memories and stories into memoir by mapping storytelling and fiction writing techniques onto our own experiences. The class will engage in personal and collaborative exercises, read and write personal essay and longer form memoir.

  • September 2016

    Teaching Artists collaborating to lead School One grant-funded  "Working Stories" class - an intergenerational storytelling class bridging the gap between generations with art, creative writing and story sharing. This class culminated in a final performance which I co-produced.
