I created a specially designed flamenco/yoga program for libraries to both foster the love of reading and the joy of movement. Children (and caregivers) will have a body stretching, hand clapping, foot stomping good time. In this upbeat program, that is infused with the music and dance of flamenco, participants will absorb the dramatic postures and colorful flavor of flamenco while exploring yoga poses, mindfulness and the participating in the reading of the the wonderful picture book, Lola’s Fandango by Anne Witte, which is the perfect accompaniment to this program. Each class will include a demonstration of flamenco by the instructor. (Please read my blog post written about my participation in the book release event for Lola's Fandango held at Barefoot Books Studio, Concord, MA. https://alwaysbedancing.wordpress.com/2011/10/30/lolas-fandango-book-rel...)
All programs are inclusive and adaptable.
