DONNA GOLD

Through Personal History I help people, communities, and organizations, record and preserve their stories by turning their memories and/or those of family members into books that can be privately or publicly published, or even beautiful, hand-sewn books. This is the process: I interview the chosen person for a life story (or part of their life story), recording our conversation, then transcribe & edit it into a narrative that remains in the person's voice. Add photos, and a community, family, or organization has a treasure that only increases in value as the years go by.
I've been a writer, editor, and journalist for more than four decades now. I've written cover stories for the Smithsonian and Natural History magazines, founded and edited COA, the magazine, and been published in numerous magazines and newspapers.
