Diane Kordas

Diane has brought classic and original participatory puppet theater to audiences throughout New England since 1998. She builds her own puppets, sets, costumes.....and writes original scripts. Diane is an experienced performer with current productions: 'Sir George and the Dragon', 'Hungry Caterpillar and Friendly Forest Folktales', 'Pirates and Tales of the Sea", "Elves and the Shoemaker with the Gingerbread Man". Learning guides available. Diane is available for teacher training seminars. "Using Puppets in the Classroom" is a hands on workshop and teachers create puppets and learn new ways to enhance learning. Residencies may include puppet manipulation or construction or both. Diane performs in libraries and schools as well as arts centers and theaters. Fees are negotiable depending on venue and audience size, and may be subject to mileage.
"The adults loved the performance as much as the kids" Tamworth Arts Council.
"Children learned about shadow, rod, and hand puppets and had a great time too!" Mary Irons, teacher, Strafford School.
Juried on the NH State Council on the Arts Roster as a Touring Artist.

The title song from Diane's first CD. Diane wrote this song for Tex, the T-Rex in the puppet show, "the Magic Rock". Tex loves to Stomp, Stomp, ROAR!
A rockin blues number that Diane wrote. If your dog has ever eaten your homework, you'd have the blues, too. Features some real dog choruses.
A real timely number written by Diane, featuring the Romper kid's chorus doing some great call & response singing.
This song was written and sung by 5th graders at the Peterborough, NH. Elementary School. It was one of several songs created by students during one of Diane's songwriting workshops.
