Bennington Baroque

Bennington Baroque presents 17th- and 18th-cntury music on instruments of the period, including baroque violin, baroque cello, viola da gamba, baroque flute, recorder voice and harpsichord.  It was founded by Sandra Mangsen in 2011.  We often perform at the Carriage Barn, Park-McCullough House, North Bennington, VT, or, in the winter, at other venues in the area.  Founder and artistic director Sandra Mangsen studied harpsichord at McGill University and holds the PhD in historical musicology from Cornell University.  She is Professor emerita at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, where she taught from 1989 until her retirement in 2011.  Photo by Peter Crabtree (2012),
