Angel Beth Smith is a Professional Artist with more than 30 years of experience providing artistic content, teaching, and marketing support to academic institutions, churches, and private organizations. A graduate of the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, Angel holds a Bachelors Degree in Textile Design. Her love for the intricacies of fabric design and weaving are evident in the meticulous attention to detail portrayed in her work. Angel involves pastels, pencil, colored pencil, conté crayon, and watercolor as mediums of expression. Revealing her subtly confident technical elements, viewers are comfortably drawn into her canvas’ inventive portrayals. Angel’s work has been showcased at various galleries and museums throughout Southern New England.

I Have Worked With

  • January 2013

    I have participated in four exhibits at the Warwick Museum of Art. They were as follows: Eastern Woodland Native Arts Exhibit in 2013, Love Medicine Exhibit in 2014, The Colors of Spring Exhibit in 2015, and the Traditional and Contemporay Native American Art Exhibit in  2016. I have also curated the Traditional and Contemporay Native American Art Exhibit at the Museum.

  • November 2012

    I began working with Elena 4 years ago after participating in a gathering of Native American Artists. In working with her I have participated in several Art Exhibits and worked as her assistant/consultant for the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts. I have also curated two Art Exhibits, The 3rd Annual Native American Art Exhibit in 2015 and Traditional and Contemporary Native American Art Exhibit in 2016, under the direction of Elena.

    I participated in the Boston Children's Museum Native Arts Show in 2012.
