Amy Howroyd is a working artist living in New Hartford, Connecticut. She currently teaches Welding and Metal Fabrication at Bristol Technical Education Center. When she is not teaching Amy enjoys metal casting, blacksmithing, fabrication, and metal arts. Some of her more recent work focuses on conceptual ideas and proposals geared to eventually come to fruition in the form of large scale displays of public art. She has a love of the human form that intertwines with a balance of space and linear patterns within her work. Amy is available to take on commissioned work and collaborations involving welding, fabrication, machining, metal casting and blacksmithing. She will begin hosting private sculpture and blacksmithing lessons at her studio in the summer of 2017. Please feel free to contact her regarding classes, collaborations, and commissions at any time.
