Amanda Whitworth/Tributary Dance

Amanda Whitworth is a dancer and teaching artist residing in central New Hampshire with a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration and networking.  She continues to work as a performer of dance and physical theatre with choreographers and organizations both nationally and internationally.  Ms. Whitworth is committed to diversifying her work and collaborates with partners on large scale projects including evening length ballets for the procenium stage, multi-disciplinary art happenings, educational and corporate programming and arts innovation through endeavors in business and technology.

I Have Worked With

  • January 2018

    Director of Dance at Plymouth State University for the past 7 years.  Lecturer at the university for the past 12 years.  Curate 4 major productions per academic year as well as collaborative art experiences with strong dance components.  Recent work includes the interdisciplinary performance "Brilliant Being" (theatre, voice, technology, projection mapping, music), Standardized Patient Training Certification (dance, acting, phyiscal therapy, nursing, school counseling), Design and Process performance (dance and sculpture), Site-specific multi-diciplinary projects between biological science and dance, Museum of the White Mountains and dance, wellness and dance.

     

     

  • January 2018

    Program consulting and devising new work for dance programming at the Village since summer 2016.  Relationship continues.

  • August 2017

    Sponsor and partner on project entitled "From Refugee Camp to Project" with Sokeo Ros.  NEFA funded opportunity.  Relationship continues to grow.
