I make realistic paintings and drawings: colorful, energetic work depicting the natural and mythical world. My work is in many private and public collections including Yale New Haven Hospital's Park Avenue Medical Center and Stamford Hospital's new Plane Tree facility. My work has appeared in films including The Bounty Hunter, with Jennifer Aniston. I earned a BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design, and an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art, and studied art in Rome, Italy for several years. My background includes the study of classical art and methods as well as training in problem solving and conceptual art. My work has been exhibited and sold in Europe and throughout the US to private and corporate buyers. I have taught children and adults basic drawing and painting, landscape and still life painting, making art with repurposed materials, textile art and found material sculpture, and am currently a Teaching Artist at the Aldrich Museum in Ridgefield. Other public work includes painted signal boxes around Stamford and mural work for Limited and Express clothing stores.
