
Abby is a painter who teaches preschoolers to senior citizens, including integrated populations, in a variety of media. She developed and founded Art for Kids and Art From the Heart.
Abby is a published illustrator. She is involved with a variety of task forces: Movable Arts Academy, Community Arts Studio, and Fire House Gallery, and is a member of many arts and arts education organizations. She is a past president of Very Special Arts Vermont.
She has taught for Dartmouth College, the Hood UVM's Flemming Museum, Buffalo's Albright Knox Gallery, Frog Hollow State Craft Center, Trinity College, Shelburne Craft School, and Burlington City Arts, as well as many others.
She has been a presenter and given workshops at various conferences such as: Healing Arts Legacy, Head Start's Parent/Teacher Conference and Vermont Arts in Education Association. Abby has received and participated in grants from the Vermont Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Her work has been shown from NY, NH, VT, to Brussels, Belgium. She has work held in private collections.

Art for Kids offers small group instruction for preschoolers - elementary in a home studio setting, private instruction for middle - high school students, adults.
Four areas of emphasis: multi-media experiences with quality materials, child-directed/ individualized instruction, process more important than product, and exposure to the arts as a community.
