    The Abbot-Downing Historical Society was formed in 1977 by a group of Concord citizens. Until 2011, it was known as the Concord Coach Society. The name was changed to reflect the greater scope of activities of the  Abbot-Downing Company.

    We offer a Special Collections room with extensive local genealogy material and a wide variety of books. The Friends of the Library are very active in hosting various book signings and talks on history, herbal medicine and so on. A meeting room is available to the public during library hours.
