    After earning a BFA from the University of Maine in 2002 Romano went onto participate in a traditional internship with master Metalsmith, Curtis K. LaFollette in Cherryfield Maine. LaFollette’s wife, Marion was a weaver who taught Romano the rich traditions of textiles and fiber.
